At TuMi’s Care Initiative, we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to thrive, regardless of ability, background, or circumstance. We’re proud to have launched the “Sustainable Livelihood Project” focused on empowering vulnerable women and persons with hearing disabilities in Montserrado County.
This project is more than just skills training, it’s a movement to reduce discrimination, promote inclusive development, and uplift communities through education, empowerment, and economic opportunity.
What are we doing?
- Vocational Training & Financial Literacy: Participants are gaining hands-on skills in soap-making, entrepreneurship, and money management, laying the foundation for self-reliance and small business success

- Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR) Education: We’re equipping adolescent girls and young women with knowledge about their bodies, choices, and rights, because health and empowerment go hand in hand

- Family Planning Awareness: Through inclusive and culturally sensitive workshops, we’re breaking down myths and empowering women and couples to make informed decisions about their reproductive lives.

- Accessible and Inclusive Programming: With sign language interpretation and visual learning tools, we’re ensuring that persons with hearing disabilities are fully included every step of the way.

Why It Matters:
For too long, vulnerable and disabled groups have been excluded from economic and educational opportunities. Our project is rewriting that story:
1. One skill,
2. One conversation, and
3. One empowered life at a time.
Join us in advancing equality, dignity, and opportunity for all.
